There are several different aged cats in the house and all snack from each others dishes. The oldest cat has been sneaking the dogs pills out of his dish. Is that why the cat suddenly seems to be in his 2nd kittenhood? He races around and gets into tons of mischief now. Is the dog medicine safe for him? I can’t get the dog to take pills unless they are hidden in chicken or hamburger, which the cats get into. How about the liquid Glucosamine-chondroitin in their community water dish. Would it hurt the cats if I dosed the dog that way? It’s so hard to keep everybody separated around here!

take it to a vet if you like it

Glucosamine and chondroitin are fine for cats, dogs and people. You may want to keep the dosages separate so everyone is getting the proper dose.

From what I read, you are ok on a weight equal basis. However, cats do not weigh much so it is likely you are way overdosing your cat with the pills.
